Have you heard of Pinterest? It’s a site that allows you to “pin” images you like to a virtual board online. Some people collect inspirational images and sayings. There are really some great pinterest boards out there.
And then there are mine.
I was really excited to try Pinterest . . . but, for whatever reason, I just couldn’t get into it. (Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I got the red x of death for most of the items I tried to pin.)
Eventually, I just stopped trying. (At this point I feel it’s only appropriate that I offer my most sincere apologies to those who do follow me on Pinterest. I’m like that friend on Facebook who never, ever posts, except maybe on his/her birthday to say, “Hey, thanks so much for the birthday wishes.” Yeah. That one. *hangs head in shame*)

Now I’m beginning to feel a bit of angst that I’m not on Google Plus yet. It gets worse every time I see that little red “g+” on my browser or that sappy commercial. (Really, dude, you never downloaded your baby pictures from your phone?) Oh and I can’t even begin to get into Tumblr. (Yes, even in spite of the fact that it did give us our first glimpse of Blue Ivy Carter.)
Even though I love social media and gadgets, it is all beginning to get a little over whelming.
I’ll probably give Pinterest another shot at some point…and I know it will only be a matter of time before I eventually join Google Plus. But for now, I’m happy to stick with Facebook and Twitter. (Amazingly, I used to be really anti-Twitter . . . until I started tweeting. Now you can’t keep me of the durn thing!)

I understand, I never got into Tumblr or G+ for similar reasons but I LOVE Pinterest. I think it helps that I have the Pin It button on my laptop and iPad. I also have the iPhone app so that I can easily Pin things on the go. Sometimes I just browse the site and rePin. *shrug* Everything ain’t for everybody…LOL Not sure what other apps/sites are hot in the streets these days but I’m sure the next hot thing is right around the corner…
I feel like Tumblr is to me what Pinterest is to you. I tried, I just felt like I was doing a lot of overlap between my blog, and twitter, and facebook and so on. I really do love Pinterest and look at it just about every day. My pinning goes in waves, but once I start going, it’s hard to stop.
