If, like me, you travel a lot for work, you might find yourself getting into a rut. Who needs to test out that fancy Zagat rated restaurant when you’ve got room service at your beck and call? And with so little time between meetings and conference sessions, you barely have time to get to the hotel gym, let alone venture outside of the hotel itself.
For a long while I found myself doing just that – staying inside the four walls of my hotel, only venturing out when heading back to the airport. After a few too many trips like that I began to make it a point to try and go on at least one “adventure” outside of the hotel during each trip. As a result, I’ve eaten at some fantastic restaurants, visited local museums and have even toasted s’mores at night just off of Lake Superior.
Of course, the thing I really love to do when I travel is shop. It’s always great to check out local boutiques to see what is what.
During a recent trip to Milwaukee, I stopped by Boutique Larrieux, which caters to sizes 12-24 and features labels like Karen Kane, Eliza Parker, Kiyonna, Monif C., my ultimate favorite, IGIGI and many, many others. It’s always such a thrill to visit shops like these because you get to try on items that, for the most part, are only available online. To get to actually feel the fabric and see the way the material lays on your figure is such a treat!
After trying on half the store, I managed to narrow it down to one purchase – this fuschia dress by London Times:

Isn’t it darling? Besides fitting like a dream, it is totally on trend! I will definitely be rockin’ this number to church this spring and summer.
Don’t worry if you’re no where near Milwaukee — you can shop Boutique Larrieux online!

What a great idea! I travel a lot for work and love exploring the area and visiting restaurants and museums but I’ve never thought to seek out boutiques. That dress will look great on you! Thanks for this
