Anyone know knows me knows I stan for Jill Scott. Her music, her style . . . her whole vibe. When I read this quote, it only increased my fandom because I share the exact same belief. I love to people watch . . . mostly because I’m nosey. There was a time in the past when I’d see someone whose looks or style I envied . . . and then I would proceed to hate on them. But over time I learned that is a complete and total waste of energy. Now, I allow myself to be inspired by others’ aesthetic. If I see something I like – a hot bag or fierce dress – I let people know it. And almost always, I’m greeted with a warm smile and a gushing “Thank you!” I feel good. They feel good. Everyone wins!
This week, let’s focus on recognizing the beauty in others . . . and letting them know when they’re looking good!
