At the beginning of this month, I ventured to the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection for the 2012 Blogging While Brown conference. Not only was this a tremendous opportunity to learn how to enhance my blog and meet blog stars like Afrobella, Field Negro and my she-ro Erika from Black Girl’s Guide to Weight Loss, but also to get a chance to do more shopping on the road.
This time, I had the good fortune of visiting BellaNor Boutique – a delightful little place on Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia. From the moment I walked in, the staff was attentive and helpful without being pushy. They had a broad selection, from dresses and jeans to belts and jewelry. The decor and layout were beautiful – I was just as elegant as any shop you’d find in an exclusive neighborhood in any major city.
Flipping through the clearance rack, I managed to snag an AMAZING sequin sheath dress for the BWB after-party. It was entirely too short and I could barely walk in it. in fact, I really had no business wearing it, but hey, I was feeling adventurous. Plus, how can you pass up a $35 freakum dress?
Check out the pics below . . .

So, if you find yourself in Philly, I highly recommend you stop by BellaNor. Oh and shout outs to my girl over at Grown and Curvy Woman – so fantastic to finally meet in person!
