Recently I attend a conference in San Francisco. While most people would use their spare time to check out Lombard Street or visit Alcatraz, I did what any self-respecting fashion blogger would do – I scoped out the ONLY plus-size boutique in the Bay Area – Isha Couture.
This small but sassy shop caters to the full-figured diva who wants to sport the latest trends while out on the town. Owner Kenisha Talton explained that most of her customers are 30 and over, usually looking for something to wear while hitting the club. And, indeed, if you are looking for that “freakum dress”, then this is the place to shop! (Not to worry if you don’t live anywhere near Oakland – you can shop online!!!) Many of the items in the shop featured “peek-a-boo” cut-outs, mesh panels and curve-hugging silhouettes. Check out a few clicks from my visit:
