Recently, I was contacted by the good folks at Simply Be – a British fashion line that carries U.S. sizes 10-28! I was somewhat familiar with Simply Be before this initial outreach, but never had spent much time perusing their site. (As I’ve confessed before, I’ve always been a little skittish about purchasing plus-size clothes from across the pond – if for no other reason than I’m afraid of the clothes not fitting properly due to sizing differences.) However, Simply Be does a great job of adjusting its site to suit the needs of the shopper’s location. Also, they seem to have a fairly simple, no-fuss return policy – including return shipping labels. But enough about making returns! What I found in browsing their site was tons of looks that I’m just dying to try. Overall, their clothes seem fashion forward, yet suitable for a working professional like you or me. Therefore, without further adieu, allow me to present . . .
Top Three Reasons to Shop Simply Be This Fall
Reason #1 – Colorful Blazers
As we have often lamented here at Curvy CEO, one of the greatest challenges for the plus-size professional woman is finding business attire that is not boring or dowdy or both. In particular, finding suiting that is not black, brown, navy or gray can be darn near impossible. Yet, by offering fitted blazers in various colors (like the on-trend shades of burgundy, cobalt, and forest green, pictured above), Simply Be can really help you add some flare to your 9-to-5.
Reason #2 – Colorblocked Dresses and Skirts
Colorblocking is still a huge trend for Fall 2012. Fortunately, Simply Be offers a variety of colorblocked looks that essentially do all of the work for you. Personally, I am seriously digging their black-and-white 2-in-1 dress. It’s got sort of a naughty-secretary, Lois-Lane vibe. Cute!
Reason #3 – Faux Fur
I *heart* faux fur. I just do. It’s oh-so-luxe, yet doesn’t offend my morals by harming our four-legged friends in the wild. Faux fur is another huge trend this fall and, as you can see, Simply Be offers a ton of different outerwear options to help you rock your curves in style.
